Arsenal and Bayern Munich have reportedly show interest in Xavi Simons, joining Barcelona in the race to sign him this summer.

21-year-old Simons has appeared on the shortlist of many top European sides this summer after impressing during his loan spell at RB Leipzig. He has registered nine goals and 13 assists in all competitions during his time with the Bundesliga club, and now appears to have played his final game at Leipzig due to a suspension he is set to serve on the final weekend of the 2023/24 season.

The young star is currently owned by Paris Saint-Germain, with the club initially purchasing the player back in 2019 from Barcelona. Since then, however, Simons has featured just 11 times in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit, and was even sold to PSV Eindhoven in 2022 - then purchased by PSG once again when they exercised a minuscule buy-back clause in 2023.

Now, the Netherlands star may have to pack his bags once again after emerging on the radars of both Arsenal and Bayern, as per reports from Sport.

They aren't the only sides who have noticed the youngster's talent though, with Barcelona very keen on bringing Simons to Spain too

A move to Barca would see Simons return to his boyhood club, after spending nine years in the Catalan's youth system. However, PSG want more than €60m (£52m) if they are to part ways with the winger - a fee that Barca may be unable to match.

Arsenal, however, could look to sign Simons, as they seek to bring in more goalscoring power at the Emirates. The attacking midfielder plays best on the right, and therefore could offer competition for current Gunners star Bukayo Saka.

His versatility also means he is also able to play on the left wing, offering an alternative option when squad members are injured.

Reports say that RB Leipzig have already had an offer for Simons rejected, and it is believed that he would prioritise a move to Barcelona in La Liga. However, if an offer arrives, PSG will be open to sending him elsewhere.
