Arsenal jump ahead of Liverpool & Tottenham in race for Bayern Munich winger
- Kingsley Coman has emerged on Arsenal's transfer radar
- Winger on course to leave Bayern Munich this summer
- Liverpool & Tottenham also rumoured suitors

Arsenal are in "ongoing communication" with Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as the summer transfer window nears, reports in Germany say.
The Gunners are desperate for a striker and remain heavily linked with Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko, but it will take more than just one signing to give them the extra push needed to finally secure a Premier League title next season.
Arsenal's attacking depth has let them down in 2024/25 following major injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz. There are also doubts of whether others like Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are ultimately good enough to be starters for a club with such aspirations.
Coman emerged on the radar recently, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also rumoured to be showing interest. But Sky Germany report that things have started to move with regard to a potential approach. Contact has been established between Arsenal and the player's camp, expressing their interest in the 28-year-old.
The Gunners are said to be "aware" of rival interest from the Saudi Pro League, which Coman understandably finds "very appealing".
From Bayern's perspective, Coman is expected to be replaced at the Allianz Arena, meaning a new winger is likely to be recruited. As it stands, the Bundesliga giants are also trying to tie Leroy Sane to a new contract, but at a lower wage with a higher proportion of performance-related add-ons.
Coman has spent a decade at Bayern after jumping between Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus at the very start of his career. He scored the winning goal in the 2020 Champions League final against PSG, but this season he’s often struggled to get in the team ahead of Serge Gnabry.
The Frenchman is primarily a left winger and so would be competing directly with Martinelli and Trossard should he arrive in north London in the coming months.
