Arsenal have welcomed back a number of crucial stars from injury into their starting XI for the huge Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners were facing an injury crisis with doubts over the fitness of the likes of Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori, among others.

Thankfully for Mikel Arteta, full-back Jurrien Timber is fit for the first time since facing Paris Saint-Germain at the start of October, while Bukayo Saka also plays having been missing since England's fixtures earlier this month.

However, Calafiori is not included in the matchday squad, while William Saliba is suspended after his red card in the defeat at Bournemouth last week.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are without Diogo Jota, with Darwin Nunez partnering Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz in attack. Caoimhin Kelleher starts in goal with Alisson sidelined, while Curtis Jones is rewarded for his awesome display against Cole Palmer and Chelsea with another opportunity.

Sunday's game is a big one early in the Premier League title race. Both sides had hopes of scooping the silverware last season, but the Reds fell away before the Gunners ultimately lost out to Manchester City.

They are separated by four points ahead of the fixture, with Liverpool having the chance to retake their place at the top of the standings after City's victory over Southampton on Saturday.

If Arsenal were to win, they would rise above Aston Villa into third before they visit Newcastle United next week, with a Carabao Cup trip to Preston North End sandwiched in between.
