Arsenal would consider Gabriel Martinelli sale on one condition
- Martinelli has scored just seven goals in 35 appearances during 2024/25
- The Brazilian winger currently out with muscle injury
- Arsenal tipped to sell before they can strengthen Mikel Arteta's squad

Arsenal would consider selling Gabriel Martinelli if they received an offer deemed to be in excess of his market value, a report has claimed.
23-year-old Martinelli and fellow winger Leandro Trossard have been touted as players Arsenal could axe this summer in a bid to raise money for other reinforcements.
Mikel Arteta is currently without a recognised centre forward – Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are both out injured for the remainder of the season – and they have failed to score in their last two Premier League games, dropping points against West Ham United and Nottingham Forest at just the wrong time.
Liverpool are now overwhelming favourites to win the title in Arne Slot's first season in charge, extending Arsenal's wait for a Premier League crown to 21 years in the process.
A significant amount of money has already been invested into Arsenal's squad but further additions appear to be necessary if Arteta is to have enough quality to get the Gunners over the line. Signing a marquee goalscorer is what supporters want to see, but compliance with the Premier League's financial regulations likely means sales are necessary in order to fund incomings.
In a Q&A session, The Athletic have provided insight into Martinelli's current standing in the squad, suggesting his status has changed as the season has evolved. The 16-cap Brazil international is not one of the players Arsenal consider to be unsellable and it's thought that an exit would be granted were any interested party to offer what the club believe to be in 'excess of his market value'.
There's no suggestion that Arsenal are actively looking to sell Martinelli – his contract runs until 2027 with the option of a further year – but the numbers suggest that Arteta is not getting the best out of a player who scored a career-high 15 Premier League goals during 2022/23.
Martinelli has been Arsenal's first-choice left winger for most of the season, yet his goal and assist output has been mediocre when compared to other top level players. The Brazilian has scored just seven times across all competitions, in 35 appearances, and has laid on just four goals for his teammates. In comparison, Liverpool's Cody Gakpo has 16 goals and five assists to his name from 251 less minutes played.
Trossard hasn't fared much better for Arsenal, scoring just five goals in 39 appearances with seven assists – just one goal contribution more than Martinelli. On the other flank, Bukayo Saka, prior to suffering a torn hamstring, scored nine goals and provided 13 assists for Arsenal in just 24 matches, while 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri already has seven goals to his name from just 948 minutes of action.
