Arsenal continue their pre-season preparations against Bournemouth on Thursday morning, with the two Premier League sides meeting in a friendly in the United States.

The Gunners have been in action just once during pre-season so far, beating Leyton Orient 2-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly. Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Emile Smith Rowe helped Mikel Arteta's experienced and expensive lineup coast to a comfortable victory, but they will face sterner tests in the coming weeks as they travel across the Atlantic Ocean.

Bournemouth have already taken to the field in the US, facing League One side Wrexham. Marcos Senesi's second-half strike earned the Cherries a 1-1 draw after James Hill's earlier own goal, but they will need to improve when they face Arsenal in the early hours on Thursday.

Arsenal have travelled with a mixture of first-team stars and youngsters to the United States. One of those fresher faces is Tommy Setford who has just signed from Ajax and the 18-year-old goalkeeper could get some minutes against the Cherries.

Full-backs Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney are currently sidelined with injuries and won't feature, while eight players are guaranteed to miss out due to their progression at Euro 2024 and the Copa America - including Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and William Saliba.

However, Arteta is likely to utilise the experienced heads he has available to him, with Martin Odegaard, Ben White and Jesus among the likely starters.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth score prediction

Arsenal may not have their strongest available squad but they should have enough quality to beat Bournemouth, especially given they can field an experienced lineup made up of elite Premier League players.

However, Bournemouth will fancy their chances of causing the Gunners some issues given they have almost their entire squad available to them, including the prolific Solanke.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Bournemouth
