Barcelona will wear their limited-edition Coldplay jersey when they face Real Madrid in El Clasico on Saturday.

The La Liga leaders are set to face the Spanish champions at the Santiago Bernabeu for their first clash of the season on Saturday evening as they look to cement their place at the top of the league standings.

The highly-anticipated clash is arguably the biggest game in world football and always attracts attention when the bitter rivals go head-to-head. However, this time Barca will don a special edition jersey with Coldplay's logo in the centre of their chest.

This is, of course, not out of the ordinary for Barca. The Catalan giants' partnership with Spotify allows them to create bespoke kits season-after-season and fans may remember the Rolling Stones kit they wore in 2023's clash.

Barca's newest shirt features Coldplay's Moon Music logo - their new album released on 4 October. The band remain the most streamed British group of all time on Spotify, with 11 tracks in the Spotify Billions Club.

Coldplay hold a special place in Barcelona fans' hearts - with their hit Viva La Vida the unofficial anthem of the club during the 2008/09 season.

Speaking on the collaboration, Coldplay said: "We're honoured that Spotify has chosen to feature our Moon Music design on the shirt of FC Barcelona. We've had a special relationship with the city and the club for many years. Heartfelt thanks to Spotify and FC Barcelona for making this happen.”

Barca head into El Clasico on a high after immense success in the opening weeks of the 2024/25 campaign under Hansi Flick. Madrid, however, have won the last four meetings with their fierce rivals, the most recent of which was a dramatic 3-2 success at the Bernabeu back in April this year.
