Ansu Fati is expected to depart Barcelona before the end of the January transfer window after again failing to make Hansi Flick's matchday squad for Saturday's meeting with Getafe.

The 22-year-old, who is reported to be earning close to £200,000-per-week, has missed a large part of the season through injury but has not been part of Flick's La Liga squad since he returned. Fati came off the bench in the Copa del Rey triumph over Barbastro but has been left out of every matchday squad since.

Fati travelled with the squad to Saudi Arabia for the Supercopa de Espana but was left out of both the semi-final and the final. He then watched the Copa del Rey triumph over Real Betis from home and has not travelled to face Getafe either.

Spanish publication SPORT state Barcelona have accepted Fati, who spent last season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, cannot remain on the sidelines and are now working hard to try find a new home for the young winger.

In the Premier League, both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are thought to be keen on Fati, who also has interest from Real Betis, Sevilla and ambitious Serie A outfit Como, led by former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

A loan is seen as the most likely outcome, with Barcelona braced for the need to cover a large part of Fati's salary, but a permanent transfer has not been ruled out either.
