Barcelona have released their new away kit for the 2024/25 campaign, unveiling a black jersey for just the fourth time in the club's history.

Announcing their home kit back in July, the Spanish giants will once again look to celebrate their 125 year anniversary by donning a unique, sleek design. While their home kit payed homage to the past, Barca's away design looks towards the future, mixing the club's iconic stripes with a standout black background.

This season will mark just the fourth time that the Camp Nou side have sported a black design, having done so previously in 2011/12, 2013/14 and 2020/21. Barca's success in a dark design has been undeniable in previous campaigns, with 2011/12 marking the season they won the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.

While a black jersey in previous had been utilised as a third kit, this time Barca will utilise it as an away kit. The likes of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha will all sport the design as they aim to steal the La Liga title back from Real Madrid.

As it stands, Barca sit at the top of the La Liga table, four points clear of Madrid. They remain unbeaten heading into the international break, having saw off Valencia, Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano before thumping Real Valladolid 7-0.

Their next fixture is set to come on 15 September, when Hansi Flick's side travel to Estadi Montilivi to face Girona.
