Barcelona continue their fight for La Liga glory on Sunday afternoon when they host Real Sociedad.

La Blaugrana are fighting Atletico and Real Madrid for the title this season but are the form team in the Spanish top flight since the turn of the year. They have won their last five matches in the league and are unbeaten in 2025.

Real Sociedad will cause them issues this weekend as both sides enter the fixture following exhausting midweek Copa del Rey outings, but Hansi Flick's men remain strong favourites to come out on top.

Here is how Barcelona could line up.

GK: Wojciech Szczesny - The Polish goalkeeper conceded four to Atletico midweek without playing too badly and will expect to be quieter on Sunday afternoon against a low-scoring Real Sociedad team.

RB: Jules Kounde - Kounde supplied an excellent assist on Tuesday evening as Barcelona came from two goals behind, but his defensive work was less impressive.

CB: Ronald Araujo - Pau Cubarsi could be offered a rest on Sunday despite scoring against Atletico, with Araujo perhaps drafted in to replace him ahead of Champions League action this Wednesday.

CB: Inigo Martinez - Martinez was another centre-half on the scoresheet in the cup as he was left unmarked at the far post from a corner. The experienced defender will have to deal with compatriot Mikel Oyarzabal this weekend.

LB: Alejandro Balde - Barcelona were unable to secure a third consecutive clean sheet on Tuesday evening but they will be eyeing a shutout against Real Sociedad, with Balde relieved not to be facing the suspended Takefusa Kubo.

DM: Marc Casado - Casado was an unused substitute against Atletico but should be restored to the lineup in place of Frenkie de Jong. The young holding midfielder has seldom put a foot wrong this term.

DM: Pedri - The diminutive maestro was integral to Barcelona securing a hard-fought draw against Atletico, producing a well-taken goal to reduce the deficit in the first half before dictating the tempo afterwards.

RW: Lamine Yamal - Yamal's ludicrously quick feet caused Atletico all manner of issues and he will offer Real Sociedad the same headaches. Sergio Gomez and Javi Lopez will need to double up on the teenager.

AM: Gavi - The 20-year-old is likely to come into the lineup as Barcelona look for fresh legs on Sunday. He will operate in an attacking midfield role close to Robert Lewandowski.

LW: Raphinha - Raphinha has been sensational this season and served up two more assists on Tuesday. He's now managed 40 goal contributions in all competitions.

ST: Robert Lewandowski - Lewandowski rose from the bench to score again midweek and will lead the line from the start on Sunday. The Poland international saw a goal controversially chalked off in the reverse fixture.
