Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs Arsenal today - Champions League
- Bayern Munich travel to Arsenal for first leg of quarter-final on Tuesday
- All eggs put in Champions League basket with Bundesliga title seemingly out of reach
- Thomas Tuchel has received positive injury news ahead of the game
Bayern Munich are putting all their eggs in the Champions League basket with Bayer Leverkusen just one win away from Bundesliga glory.
A troubled domestic season means Bayern are set to relinquish their Bundesliga crown for the first time in over a decade, and trepidation is the prevailing mood in Bavaria ahead of their quarter-final tie with Arsenal.
Bayern have lost back-to-back games since the break while Premier League leaders Arsenal have continued to roll. The Germans are facing up against a Gunners outfit unlike any of the iterations they often battered throughout the 2010s.
On a bright note, Bayern have received plenty of positive injury news ahead of Tuesday's first leg. Here's how Thomas Tuchel could set his side up at the Emirates.
Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs Arsenal (4-2-3-1)
GK: Manuel Neuer - Having missed Bayern's previous two defeats through injury, Neuer returned to training last week and is set to come back into the team on Tuesday.
RB: Joshua Kimmich - Linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, Kimmich has primarily been deployed at right-back in recent weeks and he'll likely continue in defence.
CB: Eric Dier - Dier lining up for Bayern Munich against Arsenal in a Champions League quarter-final in 2024 would not have been on anybody's bingo card.
CB: Matthijs de Ligt - With Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae both failing to impress at the weekend, De Ligt is poised to start alongside Dier in north London.
LB: Alphonso Davies - The Canadian teed up Serge Gnabry's header on Saturday, but there have been serious concerns over his form in 2024. Raphael Guerreiro is also an option.
CM: Konrad Laimer - The versatile Austrian has switched roles with Kimmich in recent weeks, but Tuchel is so far yet to reap the rewards from the move.
CM: Leon Goretzka - Goretzka has been a staple of this Bayern side, and his midfield power must come to the fore against a strong Arsenal engine room.
RM: Leroy Sane - Sane missed Saturday's defeat, but a return to training stands him in good stead for Tuesday's game. The winger has gone off the boil considerably after an excellent start to the season.
AM: Thomas Muller - The crafty veteran enjoyed his fair share of Arsenal beatdowns over the years, but he officially labelled Bayern as underdogs heading into Tuesday's game. Muller's hoping his side can 'surprise everyone' over the two legs.
LM: Jamal Musiala - The Gunners will have to keep a watchful eye on Musiala. He's one of the game breakers that could steal this tie away from Arsenal.
ST: Harry Kane - The north London derby's all-time record goalscorer will be fired up to take away Arsenal's shot at Champions League glory - it's also his last chance to win silverware in year one of his Bavarian journey.
