Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva wants his future resolved by the end of Euro 2024 amid continuing links to Barcelona.

29-year-old Silva has enjoyed a successful career at Man City, winning five Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League while at the Etihad Stadium.

He moved to the Premier League in 2017 after enjoying time in Liga Portugal with Benfica before a short spell in Ligue 1 with Monaco.

After seven successful years under Pep Guardiola, Silva is said to be keen on a new challenge. Joining Barca would potentially see the midfielder link up with Portugal teammates and current loanees Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix - the latter of whom has claimed Silva has shown interest in moving to Catalonia - and Ilkay Gundogan, a former City ally.

It has previously been reported that Silva is fond of Barcelona as a city and is "crazy" about joining the club at some point in the future.

However, Silva will not wait until the last day of the transfer window to know where his future lies, as per Sport. Their report claims Silva wants to know his next club before the end of Euro 2024, making 14 July his deadline.

This cut-off time would allow Silva to enjoy some relaxation after the tournament without worrying about his next destination. It may also allow him to feature in pre-season games for his new club.

Barca manager Xavi has always been fond of the playmaker and will stick around for another season after reneging on his decision to leave at the end of the current campaign.

Barca's own financial difficulties mean they will have to sell first-team assets before being able to make a move this summer. They have also been linked with Liverpool star Darwin Nunez as a potential replacement for striker Robert Lewandowski.
