Brighton host an all-south coast affair in the Premier League on Tuesday night as Bournemouth visit the Amex.

The Seagulls enter this midweek duel off the back of an easy victory over another south coast rival, with Fabian Hurzerler's outfit casting aside bottom-of-the-table Southampton 4-0 on Saturday.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, were beaten at home 1-0 by Wolves having played much of the contest with ten men. Matheus Cunha's first-half goal separated the two sides.

Brighton have enjoyed plenty of success in this fixture as of late, and they prevailed in the reverse fixture 2-1 at the end of November. They've won three on the bounce since losing 7-0 at Nottingham Forest, and are one of many teams poised to make a push for the European spots down the stretch.

Bournemouth are three places above their upcoming opponents in sixth, but Brighton will move level on points with Andoni Iraola's side should they complete the double over the Cherries in midweek.

Here is 90min's guide to Tuesday's Premier League clash.

Brighton team news

Brighton were once again without Lewis Dunk at the weekend due to a rib injury, and the quick turnaround means we're unlikely to see the skipper in action on Tuesday.

Igor is also out injured, but Pervis Estupinan returned off the bench at Southampton. The Ecuadorian international could be back in Hurzeler's XI with summer arrival Ferdi Kadioglu out until March with a toe injury.

James Milner misses out again due to a hamstring problem, while Danny Welbeck was absent at St Mary's. Joao Pedro and Georginio Rutter worked superbly together in the striker's absence.

Bournemouth team news

Iraola will be forced to put out a makeshift defence at Brighton on Tuesday after Illia Zabarnyi was sent off at the weekend. With Marcos Senesi out injured, and full-backs Adam Smith and Julian Araujo also unavailable, we could see Lewis Cook start alongside Dean Huijsen at the heart of Bournemouth's defence.

James Hill is likely to get the nod at right-back.

The Cherries are continuing to operate without a recognised number nine after Enes Unal and Evanilson's injuries, with Dango Ouattara poised to lead the line again. Alex Scott and Tyler Adams are in contention to return to Iraola's XI in the middle of the park.

Brighton vs Bournemouth score prediction

Just eight points separate third and tenth in the Premier League, and these two teams are well in the mix.

Brighton head into the contest with momentum, and Joao Pedro's return to form is a timely boost for the Seagulls after the Brazilian started 2025 on a rather quiet note. The Brazilian has a huge role to play down the stretch if Danny Welbeck continues to be dogged by injuries.

The hosts are ever so dynamic in attack, and it's hard to envisage this makeshift Bournemouth defence coping in what's poised to be a high-octane affair. The visitors are likely to cause problems of their own going forward, but Brighton should outscore their south coast rivals on Tuesday.

Prediction: Brighton 3-1 Bournemouth
