Brighton & Hove Albion hope to put a three-game losing run behind them when they host relegation-bound Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

The Seagulls entered the March international break as one of the division's form teams but have seen their hopes of securing European football for next season fade over the past two weeks. After exiting the FA Cup on penalties to Nottingham Forest, they've suffered defeats to Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in the A23 Derby.

Fabian Hurzeler's side were considered dark-horses for a top five finish a month ago, but they're now ninth and six points adrift of Newcastle in fifth. A win here could get them back on track, and they'll be expected to do so against a Leicester team that lost their eighth Premier League game on the bounce without scoring on Monday night.

Newcastle raced into an early 2-0 lead at King Power Stadium and opted against inflicting more misery in the second half after former Leicester winger Harvey Barnes put them 3-0 up before the interval. Ruud van Nistelrooy's side have been stuck on 17 points for two months and are closing in on relegation.

Here is 90min's guide to Saturday's Premier League clash.

Brighton's injury list has been extensive for much of the season, and they've recently been hit by another considerable setback. Georginio Rutter has been a big part of Hurzeler's debut season at the helm, but he's set to miss much of the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury.

Igor's campaign is over, while Ferdi Kadioglu, James Milner, Tariq Lamptey, Adam Webster, and Jason Steele aren't expected back from their respective setbacks until next month.

Joel Veltman is a doubt due to a knock which kept him out of the A23 Derby. Jan Paul van Hecke is suspended afte receiving two yellow cards at Selhurst Park last weekend.

Harry Winks remained excluded from Van Nistelrooy's squad for the 3-0 defeat at Newcastle, and there's not yet been any update on a potential return.

The Foxes injury issues haven't changed, with no fresh concerns emerging from Monday's defeat. The visitors are without Harry Souttar, Abdul Fatawu and Odsonne Edouard once more.

Facundo Buonanotte could be recalled to the starting XI even if Van Nistelrooy retains a back three, while 15-year-old Jeremy Monga should be in the squad again.

Brighton vs Leicester score prediction

We know Leicester are awful, but Brighton are injury-hit and unsure of themselves. While they'll be keen to let off some steam after last week's defeat at Selhurst Park, their recent consternation suggests this bout could be trickier than expected.

Leicester have little concept of claiming Premier League points and are well aware of their fate, but perhaps they'll muster something from deep within to make this one competitive.

Still, Brighton should walk away with the three points.

Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Leicester
