Bruno Fernandes recorded his 150th and 151st goal involvements of his Manchester United career in the 5-2 win over Leicester City.

Under the guidance of interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy, Fernandes scored his first two goals of the season in a feel-good victory which eased the pressure on his shoulders after an underwhelming start to the campaign contributed to the eventual departure of manager Erik ten Hag.

Fernandes becomes just the seventh player to record 150 goal involvements across Europe's top five leagues in the time since his move to United on January 29, 2020.

Perhaps most impressively, Fernandes is the only midfielder to reach such a feat in the last five years.

Fans will be watching closely as Fernandes prepares to adjust to life under a new manager. Ruben Amorim will join during the November international break and is expected to introduce a 3-4-3 formation which does not naturally include Fernandes' preferred position of attacking midfield.

Amorim is, however, expected to find space for Fernandes in what could be a fluid attacking system, the results of which could see the Portuguese midfielder continue to rack up the goal contributions.

Fernandes has already backed Amorim to succeed in England on a number of occasions, insisting the manager's record of success speaks for itself.
