Carlo Ancelotti confirms Real Madrid's plans for Arda Guler next season
- Arda Guler scored Real Madrid's winner against Real Sociedad on Friday
- Turkish teenager has been linked with a loan exit this summer
- Ancelotti keen to keep Guler around
Arda Guler will continue to develop his game and hone his skills at Real Madrid as manager Carlo Ancelotti stated this week 'there's no doubt' the young midfielder will be anywhere else next year.
Los Blancos got the better of Real Sociedad on Friday night, beating the hosts 1-0 at the Reale Arena to go 14 points clear at the top of La Liga and extend an unbeaten run in the league to 25 games.
Guler's goal against La Real marked his second as a Madrid player, with the 19-year-old previously scoring in a 4-0 league win over Celta Vigo in March, but his limited minutes this season have sparked numerous reports of a possible loan exit in the summer.
After the match, Ancelotti praised the performance of his team and highlighted the contribution of Guler.
"I understand that everyone thought we were coming here for a walk, but the players didn't and that's why I'm very proud of them," he told a press conference. "They've shown commitment, attitude and desire to keep winning and keep the good momentum going. I have to thank them because they have been spectacular.
"Arda also scored a goal and is going to be an important player for the future. There's no doubt he's still going to be here next year."
Reflecting on the victory and his impact, Guler told Real Madrid TV: "I would like to congratulate my teammates and also thank the coach for giving me this opportunity. I'm very happy, this is the best club in the world and I'm happy to be here. The quality of the players is incredible.
"I'm not just working on the physical aspect, but also the mental side of things. I'm calm, I'm waiting."
Of next Tuesday's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, Guler added: "The Champions League is always about Real Madrid. I hope we get a good result."
