Carlo Ancelotti reveals Real Madrid's plans for rest of summer transfer window
- Real Madrid have added Kylian Mbappe and Endrick to Champions League-winning squad
- Los Blancos were linked with Leny Yoro before Man Utd agreed transfer
- Carlo Ancelotti reveals stance on more additions before window closes
Carlo Ancelotti says Real Madrid are done bringing in new players this summer after the additions of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick.
Los Blancos will look to defend their La Liga and Champions League titles won during the 2023/24 campaign. They finally added Mbappe to their squad after a lengthy transfer saga, while Brazilian prodigy Endrick has arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu having agreed his move to Spain in December 2022.
Madrid are a little short in the centre-back department and were linked with Leny Yoro before they were usurped by Manchester United, who quickly agreed a deal for the French teenager.
However, when asked if Madrid were done building their squad, Ancelotti replied: "It's a done deal. [Jesus] Vallejo has returned, [David] Alaba is recovering and the youngsters who are training with us have quality. In this position we are very well covered. There is no way out because everyone wants to stay.
"I'm not worried because we have a great squad in all positions. Kylian has joined the squad and he's a fantastic player and as I said, we don't have much time to prepare for the first matches, but the players will be back in good shape. They have a programme that starts 15 days before their arrival."
Madrid suffered some significant injuries in the centre of defence last season, with Eder Militao and David Alaba both missing large chunks of the campaign with anterior cruciate ligament issues.
Club captain Nacho Fernandez and Rafa Marin have departed over the summer, but Ancelotti does also have midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who dropped into defence frequently during the second half of the 2023/24 season.
Madrid will play their first pre-season match of their United States tour on Thursday morning when they take on Serie A giants Milan.
