Casemiro is determined to fight for his future at Manchester United and plans to reject any advances from Turkish giants Galatasaray in the coming days, a report has revealed.

The veteran midfielder came under fire last season for a series of underwhelming performances and found himself facing intense scrutiny after United's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, in which he was withdrawn at half-time after two errors leading to goals.

Reports in Turkiye, which were later backed up by The Times, claimed Galatasaray were lining up a shock move for Casemiro before their transfer window closes on September 13.

However, the Daily Mail state Casemiro has no interest in calling time on his United career. The 32-year-old, who has five Champions League titles to his name from his time with Real Madrid, wants to rebuild his reputation and prove himself at Old Trafford once more.

It is believed United are open to offers for Casemiro, who still has 18 months left on his £375,000-a-week contract which also includes the option for a one-year extension, but the Red Devils are yet to receive any concrete interest.

The pressure is firmly on Casemiro's shoulders after he was dropped from the Brazil squad for this summer's Copa America. Manager Dorival Junior has not recalled the midfielder for September's international fixtures.

At club level, United spent big on Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain late in the summer window. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder is clearly the long-term replacement for Casemiro and will increase the competition for minutes this season.
