Cesc Fabregas has singled out three players who he believes have tarnished their careers by joining Manchester United.

United suffered a disappointing 2023/24 Premier League season, finishing in eighth-place and sitting a staggering 21 points behind their rivals Manchester City.

Throughout the campaign, plenty of players faced criticism for their inconsistent performances and questionable attitudes on the pitch.

Now, former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Fabregas has voiced his thoughts, identifying Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, and Sofyan Amrabat as players who have experienced a decline in form since their move to Old Trafford.

Speaking to BBC's Planet Premier League podcast, he said: “Casemiro won Champions League after Champions League at Real Madrid. He was the best defensive midfielder in the world and then he goes to Manchester United and looks like a completely different player.

"Look at Sancho. He's not doing well at United, he goes to Dortmund and he looks again like the player we all thought he was going to be.

"Look at the midfielder that impressed for Morocco at the World Cup [Amrabat], he was fantastic. And then he goes to Man United and he's not been the same player."

The Spaniard believes that the trio have all suffered due to the way United has been managed under the Glazers, with Ten Hag's tactics also bearing responsibility.

He continued: "Obviously it makes me think that something is wrong there. It's not a coincidence that three top, top players come in and they are not good all of a sudden."

Casemiro enjoyed a solid debut season at Old Trafford after joining from Real Madrid in 2022. However, the Brazilian played 20 less matches this term, appearing unfit and demotivated.

Sancho was shipped back to Dortmund, on loan, in January after refusing to apologise to Ten Hag for an off-field bust-up. While Amrabat has largely failed to live up to hype following his loan move from Fiorentina last summer.
