Chelsea will face Swiss side Servette in their play-off to qualify for this season's UEFA Conference League.

The Blues were handed a tough draw earlier this month when they were slated to take on either Servette or Braga who, unlike the other possible opponents, were facing off in a Europa League qualifier.

Having drawn 0-0 in Portugal last week, Servette fell 2-1 on home soil on Thursday. Braga advance to the Europa League and Servette drop into the Conference League play-off against Chelsea.

Chelsea will host the first leg of the tie at Stamford Bridge on August 22 before heading to Switzerland for the return fixture seven days later on August 29.

Servette have played their football in the Swiss top flight for the last six seasons and have enjoyed a whirlwind 12 months which saw them reach the last 16 of the Conference League last year and even add their first major trophy in 23 years when they lifted the Swiss Cup.

They finished third in the Swiss Pro League last year, one point behind second and 13 points adrift of eventual winners Young Boys.

Their 2024/25 season has already started and Servette currently sit fifth in the league, with three wins and two losses from their opening five games. They have conceded a joint-highest 13 goals across those five outings.

Chelsea have very little recent experience in Switzerland, having not played there competitively since 2013, but did face Servette in a post-season friendly back in 1946, picking up a 2-0 victory.
