Chelsea predicted lineup vs Tottenham - Premier League

Chelsea make the trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon for Enzo Maresca's first taste of this particular London derby.

The Blues head across the capital in a confident mood after four successive victories, with Wednesday evening's 5-1 hammering of ten-man Southampton moving them within seven points of table toppers Liverpool. Maresca's men continue to impress in the Italian's debut season at the helm and can pull 11 points clear of Spurs with victory in north London.

Chelsea triumphed twice in this fixture last season, including a memorable 4-1 victory against nine-man Tottenham on the road. The Blues have won four of their last five away trips to Spurs and will be favourites to make that five from six on Sunday.

Here's how Chelsea could line up for the trip to Spurs.

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Tottenham (4-2-3-1)

GK: Robert Sanchez - Despite Filip Jorgensen coming into the starting XI on Thursday, Maresca has confirmed that Sanchez remains number one. The Spaniard hasn't been convincing this term and will be tested frequently by an offensive-minded Spurs side.

RB: Malo Gusto - Yet another injury for Reece James means Gusto's starting berth is secure for the festive period. The Frenchman has been in impressive form this season and was a handful for Southampton midweek.

CB: Tosin Adarabioyo - Wesley Fofana's hamstring issue means Chelsea's trio of back-up centre-backs - Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi - will be fighting for minutes in the coming weeks.

CB: Levi Colwill - Colwill enjoyed a well-earned rest midweek but will return in north London to duel with fellow Cobham graduate Dominic Solanke. The Spurs striker is always a handful, even if he's struggled for goals in recent outings.

LB: Marc Cucurella - The only area of the pitch in which Chelsea find themselves a tad light of orthodox options is at left-back, with Cucurella having established himself as Maresca's go-to on the left-hand side of defence.

DM: Moises Caicedo - The Ecuadorian has been compared to leading defensive midfielders Rodri and Declan Rice by Maresca and is certainly competing at their level this term. He's been exceptional at the base of midfield.

DM: Enzo Fernandez - Fernandez's form has been mightily impressive over the last month, with two goals and seven assists since the beginning of November. The Argentine has been a hugely effective box-to-box presence in Chelsea's midfield.

RW: Noni Madueke - Madueke was dropped against Aston Villa for his training ground performances but returned with a goal and assist in the win over Southampton. The lively winger will be aiming to sparkle in north London up against a leaky Spurs defence.

AM: Cole Palmer - Without being the standout performer for Chelsea in recent weeks, Palmer has still managed two goals and an assist in his last three matches. He's inevitable and scored at Tottenham last season from the penalty spot.

LW: Pedro Neto - Having been rested midweek, Neto should return to the starting lineup in place of Joao Felix. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger could exploit the defensive shortcomings of Pedro Porro.

ST: Nicolas Jackson - Jackson enjoys facing Spurs. He scored four in two meetings with them last season, including a hat-trick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Having been rested on Thursday, he should be refreshed for a clash with an injury-hit Tottenham defence.
