Chelsea have struck a deal to sign 17-year-old Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian, a report has revealed.

The Blues agreed personal terms with Estevao, nicknamed 'Messinho', earlier this month before a bid worth €57m (£49m) was knocked back by Palmeiras.

Now, however, The Athletic state Chelsea and Palmeiras have reached a verbal agreement over a deal to bring Estevao to Stamford Bridge when he turns 18 in 2025.

The report claims Chelsea will pay "at least" €34m (£29m) up front, with a further €23m (£20m) in performance-related add-ons.

Ben Jacobs states that Chelsea's offer sits at €65m, which would make it the most valuable sale from a South American side ever - eclipsing the €60m Palmeiras secured from Endrick's upcoming move to Real Madrid.

Chelsea had been keen on Endrick and see Estevao as a similar talent, and after missing out on the former, those in charge at Stamford Bridge refused to lose out on the young winger's signature.

Estevao is expected to sign a contract of at least seven years when he moves to England, which he will be free to do after his 18th birthday in April 2025.

Chelsea are also awaiting the arrival of another South American prospect. Independiente del Valle midfielder Kendry Paez, who played against Estevao earlier this week, will complete his £17m switch in the summer of 2025 as well.

Estevao is set to become the fourth Brazilian youngster to join Chelsea since the change of ownership, following Andrey Santos, Angelo and Deivid Washington in making the move to Stamford Bridge.
