Chelsea have agreed to loan defender Trevoh Chalobah to Crystal Palace for the 2024/25 season, a report has claimed.
Chalobah was one of several players, including Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell, told by the Blues to find a new club in the last days of the summer transfer window, while his squad number has already been reassigned to new signing Joao Felix.
David Ornstein of The Athletic claims Palace have agreed to offer Chalobah a route out of Stamford Bridge and he will join the Eagles on loan for the remainder of the campaign. Wolves had been linked with a deadline day approach too, but the 25-year-old will head from west London to south London instead.
Chalobah will undergo a medical ahead of a straight loan move to Palace, who will pay a loan fee for his services.
Oliver Glasner has been on the hunt for reinforcements at centre-back following Joachim Andersen's move back to Fulham, though Palace have been able to stave off the advances of Newcastle United following their intense interest in Marc Guehi.
Palace have also announced the signing of fellow defender Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg as part of their reshuffling at the back. He joins on a five-year deal and will wear the number five shirt upon his debut.
In the meantime, Chelsea are also looking to land winger Jadon Sancho on an initial loan from Manchester United.
