Chelsea vs Everton: The results of their last 10 meetings
- Chelsea and Everton have been ever-present in the Premier League
- Toffees have a surprisingly good record in this fixture despite recent struggles
- Blues have only won three of last 12 clashes between the sides
Chelsea and Everton have been two ever-present forces in the Premier League, locking horns at least twice per season since the competition's inception in 1992.
While Chelsea shade this fixture when it comes to victories, meetings tend to be competitive between the two teams.
Even during Everton's struggles in recent seasons, they have maintained a solid record against the Blues, winning half of the last ten battles in the Premier League.
Here are the results of all of those ten clashes.
Everton 2-0 Chelsea - December 2023
Chelsea's 2023/24 campaign has been so miserable that even a defeat at the hands of relegation-threatened Everton doesn't crack their top five lowest moments. Their 2-0 loss at Goodison Park was yet another woeful display from the Blues, but hardly surprising.
Abdoulaye Doucoure fired the Toffees in front ten minutes after half-time and youngster Lewis Dobbin secured all three points with a stoppage-time effort. The result moved Everton four points clear of the relegation zone at the time, while it was Chelsea's seventh defeat of the Premier League campaign after just 16 matches.
Chelsea 2-2 Everton - March 2023
Struggling against Everton isn't an issue specific to Pochettino, with his predecessor Graham Potter also stumbling to a disappointing result against Sean Dyche's side.
Despite leading twice against the Toffees at Stamford Bridge towards the end of the 2022/23 campaign, Chelsea could only secure a point after conceding an 89th-minute equaliser.
Joao Felix's effort and Kai Havertz's penalty put Chelsea in front after Doucoure had levelled with 20 minutes to play, but young forward Ellis Simms proved the unlikely hero for the visitors in the closing stages following a powerful drive and neat finish.
Everton 0-1 Chelsea - August 2022
Chelsea hadn't found victory easy to come by under Thomas Tuchel earlier in the 2022/23 campaign, coming away from Goodison Park with three points on the opening day of the Premier League season thanks to Jorginho's penalty.
It was a scrappy affair with very little in the way of drama, but Everton boss Frank Lampard was unable to get one over on his old Chelsea side.
Everton 1-0 Chelsea - May 2022
It was Everton who had run out 1-0 winners in this fixture at Goodison Park towards the end of the 2021/22 season and it proved to be a vital three points in the Merseyside club's survival bid.
Richarlison grabbed the only goal of a nervy game for the home supporters, with Lampard having been able to secure a memorable victory against his former employers on this occasion.
The narrow victory moved Everton within two points of safety with a game in hand on their relegation rivals in the closing weeks, with the Toffees managing to stay up by five points come the end of the campaign.
Chelsea 1-1 Everton - 16 December 2021
Chelsea had once again surrendered a late lead to Everton at Stamford Bridge during the 2021/22 campaign, and it was another young Toffee who proved the visitors' saviour in west London - this time under boss Rafa Benitez.
Mason Mount had put the Blues in front after 70 minutes but Jarrad Branthwaite equalised just four minutes later, with the injury-hit Merseysiders also indebted to a wonderful display from goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
