Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer has finished 25th in the 2024 Ballon d'Or standings.

England and Chelsea star Palmer has taken the world of football by storm over the last two campaigns, netting 27 goals in 48 appearances for the Blues in 2023/24. His success saw him earn a spot in Gareth Southgate's Euro 2024 squad, with the 22-year-old featuring in five games in Germany including the all-important final.

Palmer's success for both club and country saw him receive a nomination for football's most coveted individual award - the Ballon d'Or.

Whilst Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior and Manchester City hero Rodri look the most likely to grab the top prize during Monday evening's ceremony in Paris - Palmer has been celebrated for his consistent performances, ranking number 25 on the official Ballon d'Or list.

His immense showings for the Blues have continued into the 2024/25 campaign, netting seven goals in just 11 appearances so far. Palmer displayed his true skill and prowess during Chelsea's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion in September, during which he scored four goals in the first half of their 4-2 victory.

Palmer has also taken well to life under new coach Enzo Maresca, who views him as a vital part of Chelsea's current squad.

Whilst no player has ever actually won the Ballon d'Or whilst playing for Chelsea, Palmer could become the first with his consistent displays of talent. The young midfielder already has a Champions League trophy and two Premier League titles to his name - from his time at Manchester City - but has proven he is capable of even more greatness.
