Cristiano Ronaldo has suggested Real Madrid have specific training sessions to emulate the immense pressure of Champions League football.

Madrid's famous relationship with the Champions League has been clear to see in recent years, with Los Blancos sealing a handful of late comebacks to power beyond Europe's greatest sides to lift the trophy.

Ronaldo, who won four of his five Champions League titles with Madrid, admitted no side understands how to deal with the pressure of the big occasions like they do.

"Real Madrid are looking very good," he said on UR Cristiano. "They are the type of team who do not rush under pressure.

"Most people say they are lucky. They are not lucky. They prepare for these kind of moments. The Bernabeu, the stadium, has a different aura, and when big teams go there, they score one goal and in the 85th minute or the 90th minute, the pressure is a lot.

"For me, it's the best club ever in the history of football."

Ronaldo recently sent a message of support to new Madrid signing Kylian Mbappe, who has come under pressure for an underwhelming start to his La Liga career.

"Are they going to be better? We'll see," Ronaldo continued. "Mbappe is there now, I think they will stay strong, but I don't know if they will be better than last year. Only God knows. Let's see.

"They have a fantastic team with fantastic players. I believe they're going to be one of the best teams in the world."
