Crystal Palace and West Ham United go head-to-head in a pre-season friendly this weekend during their respective tours of the United States.

Both sides have already played fellow Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in friendlies across the pond. While the Eagles managed an encouraging 3-1 win over Gary O'Neil's side, West Ham slumped to a defeat by the same scoreline.

As a result, Crystal Palace are still unbeaten in pre-season to date, drawing with Charlton Athletic and beating Crawley Town prior to jetting off to North America. Things have been trickier for the Hammers, whose only victory so far came over fifth-tier local rivals Dagenham & Redbridge.

Crystal Palace are missing a few players due to Euro 2024, with Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze still recovering. Striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is currently at the Olympics with France but Adam Wharton has returned to the Eagles squad following England duty.

It remains to be seen whether recent signing Ismaila Sarr will travel to the United States to join up with his new teammates, but summer recruits Chadi Riad and Daichi Kamada should continue to build up their fitness levels ahead of their debut seasons.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham score prediction

Crystal Palace have carried their red-hot form from the end of last term into pre-season and will fancy their chances of claiming another friendly victory over Premier League opposition. The returns of Adam Wharton in midfield and Dean Henderson between the sticks will only boost their chances of success this weekend.

West Ham are still getting to grips with Lopetegui's demands and have looked a little off the pace in pre-season so far. While the return of Lucas Paqueta is welcomed, they may still fall short to a well-organised and ruthless Palace side.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 3-1 West Ham
