Dani Olmo's agent has insisted the midfielder has no desire to leave Barcelona in January despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding his registration.
Olmo's current La Liga registration expires at the end of December and the club are not currently in a position to re-register the summer signing, whose contract is believed to include the ability to leave on a free transfer if he cannot be registered. Several Premier League sides are reported to be keen.
Barcelona have been left sweating after seeing an attempt to extend Olmo's registration rejected by two different judges, meaning there are just hours before the Spain international is no longer part of the squad.
Olmo's agent, however, insists they will not be jumping ship just yet.
"I can announce that the decision made by Dani is to stay at Barcelona," he told Fabrizio Romano.
"We are not considering any other option or club, Dani Olmo wants to play for Barca and his desire is very clear."
News of Olmo's desire to stay will undoubtedly ease concerns around Barcelona, who believe they have a different way to raise the required funds already in the pipeline. A deal worth €120m to sell a section of VIP seats in the new Camp Nou for the next 20 years is close to completion, and the club believe that sale will give them more than enough money needed to renew Olmo's registration.
