Dean Huijsen: Release clause revealed of Real Madrid, Man Utd & Chelsea target
- Dean Huijsen has been a breakout star for Bournemouth
- Defender linked with Real Madrid, Man Utd & Chelsea
- Affordable release clause for the 19-year-old revealed

Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea target Dean Huijsen has a £50m release clause written into his Bournemouth contract, it has been revealed.
The 19-year-old, who spent the formative years of his youth career at Malaga before moving to Juventus in 2021, has been one of the Cherries' standout players in what has been a tremendous season under Andoni Iraola.
Bournemouth are riding high in fifth in the Premier League table, which could potentially secure a spot in next season's Champions League should UEFA's co-efficient rankings favour English sides in the summer.
Huijsen was first linked with Real Madrid and Chelsea towards the end of the January transfer window, though there was never any suggestion that a mid-season move could be on the cards. Manchester United have since been linked, as they continue to navigate a torrid run of results.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Huijsen's contract, signed when he joined Bournemouth last July for a fee in the region of £15m, contains a release clause that will become active in the summer, potentially earning the Cherries a profit of over 200%.
£50m would appear to be tremendous market value for Huijsen, who is regarded as one of Europe's finest young prospects, but could also undervalue the importance of the Spaniard to Bournemouth when compared to players of a similar profile.
Real Madrid's interest has been piqued after a tricky 2024/25 season injury wise. Eder Militao and David Alaba have suffered serious knee injuries, with the former still likely to be out for an extended period of time, while Antonio Rudiger has also spent time on the treatment table. Their absences have allowed academy graduate Raul Asencio to come into the side and prove his worth, but Madrid recognise that Huijsen could go on to become one of world football's premier centre-backs.
Chelsea have also suffered with injuries – Wesley Fofana their most notable absentee – while United have recently lost Lisandro Martinez to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Bournemouth will be reluctant to let Huijsen go, but may have no choice in the matter should one of the aforementioned clubs decide to stump up the cash needed to trigger a sale.
