Erik ten Hag insists he has no idea what the future holds after leading Manchester United to FA Cup final glory.
Reports earlier this week suggested Ten Hag would be sacked regardless of the result on Saturday, but while most doubters expected Manchester City to roar to victory, Ten Hag flipped the script and inspired a huge 2-1 win at Wembley.
After the game, Ten Hag was asked whether there was any truth to the reports, and he insisted he has yet to be told anything.
"I don't know," Ten Hag told BBC Sport. "The only thing I'm doing is preparing my team, developing my team. This is a project for me. When I came in I can say it was a mess. Now we are better. We are not where we want to be.
"Football is about winning trophies. I want to play the best football, dynamic, attacking football but in the end you have to win games and trophies. That's the mentality we brought in. This was our one opportunity and we did it. I'm very proud of the players and staff."
In his post-match press conference, a defiant Ten Hag added: "If they don't want me anymore, I go somewhere else and win trophies, that's what I've done my whole career."
A tearful Bruno Fernandes jumped to Ten Hag's defence after the game, admitting the Dutchman has faced an unfair level of pressure.
Asked whether the win would be special for Ten Hag, Fernandes insisted: "It's special for everyone.
"Obviously we know the manager is under too much scrutiny but it's part of being at Manchester United. Players, staff, we all know that we're going to be under this.
"This manager is experienced enough and he knows. He deserves also. Everyone today, the staff, the backroom, everyone, the football players, we all deserve this."
