UEFA has announced its group of 89 match officials for Euro 2024 this summer.

The pool consists of 19 referees (including one from South America), 38 assistant referees, 12 fourth officials and 20 VAR match officials, overseeing the 51 games at the tournament.

"All chosen referees have performed consistently to the highest standards in UEFA's top competitions, and also in their domestic competitions. They have prepared exceptionally well to be in this position and we have full confidence in them to show their quality at the final tournament," said Roberto Rosetti, UEFA's managing director of refereeing.

UEFA made history at Euro 2020 when Stephanie Frappart became the first woman to be part of the officiating pool at a European Championship, going on to later referee at the World Cup in 2022. But there are no women in UEFA's selections on this occasion.

The two Premier League referees selected by FIFA for the 2022 World Cup - Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor - have each been chosen by UEFA. Oliver has officiated in the Champions League since 2016 and oversaw the 2022 UEFA Super Cup final, while Taylor was given the Super Cup in 2020 and was the man with the whistle at last season's Europa League final.

Bjorn Kuipers, who refereed the Euro 2020 final three years ago, is not among the group after retiring shortly after that tournament. Meanwhile, Poland's Szymon Marciniak, who officiated last season's Champions League final, will be among the contenders to get this summer's final.

For the second Euro tournament running, a refereeing team from Argentina will join the other officials in Germany, part of the ongoing collaboration between UEFA and CONMEBOL.
