Experienced pair recalled to latest England Women squad after injuries
- 25-player England Women squad named for Belgium fixtures
- Sarina Wiegman recalls Fran Kirby, Beth Mead & Khiara Keating
- First senior call-up for Brighton youngster Maisie Symonds

England Women are back in action in April in a UEFA Nations a double header against Belgium, with Sarina Wiegman naming a 25-player squad for the second international break of 2025.
The Lionesses, who will look to defend their continental crown at Euro 2025 in Switzerland this summer, started the calendar year with a draw against Portugal and a win over world champions Spain in February to make a positive start to the new Nations League campaign.
There are few surprise with Wiegman’s selection to face Belgium home and away, but Brighton & Hove Albion youngster Maisie Symonds has been called up for the first time.
Chloe Kelly is included from the off, initially left out in February amid concerns over a lacking of playing time at club level, before being then being drafted in as an injury replacement.
Experience veterans Beth Mead and Fran Kirby are back from injury and back in the squad, with 20-year-old Manchester City talent Khiara Keating added to the goalkeeper group for the first time in ten months. But there is no place for Manchester United left-back Gabby George, after she had played her way back into the Lionesses fold at the tail end of 2024.
England have faced Belgium four times on Wiegman's watch, winning three times but losing the most recent meeting between the sides in Leuven in October 2023. The Lionesses will play hosts at a sold-out Ashton Gate in Bristol on Friday 4 April, before heading back to Leuven four days later.
