After one month of thrilling football, Euro 2024 reached its conclusion on Sunday evening with Spain coming out on top against England in the final.
Throughout the last month, we've bore witness to plenty of fantastic games, goals and individual performances.
In this article, as part of our 24 for 24 series, we're going to focus on the latter - the best players at the tournament in Germany.
Here's our pick for the ten best of the bunch.
10. Georges Mikautadze
Nation: Georgia
Georges Mikautadze was on the books at a Ligue 2 team during Euro 2024, and you couldn't have guessed it.
The striker was one of the most potent forwards in the whole competition in the early rounds, bagging a thoroughly impressive three goals and an assist during Georgia's stunning run to the knockout rounds. One sixth of a Golden Boot winner.
9. Jordan Pickford
Nation: England
For some reason, Jordan Pickford becomes one of the best goalkeepers in the world when he dons an England jersey.
The Three Lions number one was once again in superb form for his nation throughout Euro 2024, particularly in the early rounds when England's attackers were struggling for form at the other end of the pitch.
8. Arda Guler
Nation: Turkey
Arda Guler was perhaps the breakout star of Euro 2024.
Despite being just 19 years old, the Real Madrid youngster was Turkey's inspirational leader in Germany, providing cutting edge in the final third throughout their run to the quarter-finals.
His goal against Georgia in particular will live long in the memory of fans.
7. Dani Olmo
Nation: Spain
Considering he wasn't even a starter until Pedri got injured, Dani Olmo has done pretty damn well to make his way on to this list.
The RB Leipzig attacking midfielder earned his place thanks to his fantastic performances in the quarter-final, semi-final and final of the competition, in which he bagged two goals and an assist to see Spain through to victory.
6. Jamal Musiala
Nation: Germany
There was point during Euro 2024 in which Jamal Musiala looked certain to win Player of the Tournament.
In the end, he's had to settle for sixth place in our rankings after Germany's quarter-final exit.
The youngster was superb throughout his time at Euro 2024, with his group stage performance being genuinely awe inspiring.
5. Nico Williams
Nation: Spain
Nico Williams' €58m release looks like the bargain of the century after his exploits at Euro 2024.
The winger was electric in Germany, providing Spain with pace, trickery and, most importantly, end product from the left flank. He netted a crucial goal in the final to fire his side to victory.
4. Cody Gakpo
Nation: Netherlands
Put simply, the Netherlands would not have made it to the Euro 2024 semi-finals without Cody Gakpo.
They actually probably wouldn't have made it out of the group stages.
The Liverpool man was in inspired form for his nation in Germany, scoring three goals and regularly dragging the Dutch from the brink of elimination.
Expect him to to have a big 2024/25 season at Anfield.
3. Fabian Ruiz
Nation: Spain
Fabian Ruiz was arguably the most consistent player at Euro 2024.
The midfielder provided consistent quality on and off the ball for Spain, pivoting beautifully with Rodri at the heart of La Roja's outrageously gifted team.
PSG will be praying he bring this form back to club level.
2. Rodri
Nation: Spain
When Rodri's in your team, chances are you're winning 99% of football games you ever play.
Spain and Man City have been the benefactor of his match-winning mentality in recent seasons.
As expected, he was bloody brilliant at Euro 2024 for Spain and picked up the Player of the Tournament award, but he's not our winner...
1. Lamine Yamal
Nation: Spain
Now 17 after celebrating his birthday the day before the final, Yamal was our top player at this tournament.
This sort of thing does not happen.
Lamine Yamal has become a genuine superstar at Euro 2024, and proven that he has 'best of all time' potential. His Young Player of the Tournament award was fully deserved and he could have easily snatched the overall prize from Rodri.
