Real Madrid are back at the pinnacle of football.

Having swept away the competition across Spain and Europe in 2023/24, they have already strengthened themselves with the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick.

But Los Blancos are always hungry for more and can afford to dine at the very top of the transfer food chain.

So which options would be best for Madrid off the back of Euro 2024? Here are four players that should be on their radar.

1. Rodri

Wow, starting with the man who won the Player of the Tournament award. Some pretty hard thinking went into this one.

Let's be honest with ourselves - there doesn't need to be too much nuance about who Madrid should sign. They are the best, so they should sign the best.

Rodri, who has somehow managed to live up to the hype as a natural heir to Sergio Busquets, has now secured the acclaim he deserves back in his homeland, but he could go one step further by taking his talents to Madrid.

Dani Carvajal has already admitted to asking Rodri about a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. That's usually step one in the club's transfer playbook.

2. Mike Maignan

Alright, Madrid aren't really in need of a new goalkeeper right now, but some future-proofing wouldn't go amiss.

Thibaut Courtois is coming off the back of two serious knee injuries, and while Andriy Lunin has proven a capable deputy, he isn't ready to be number one.

In a couple of seasons, Mike Maignan is the goalkeeper that Madrid should be looking to, the perfect modern-day stopper and sweeper.

3. Fabian Ruiz

Madrid have lost roughly 99% of the creativity in their starting XI following the retirement of Toni Kroos. Sure, Luka Modric is still knocking around, but it's likely he'll be reduced to appearances from the bench once again.

Over at the madhouse of Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions are keen on pairing Joao Neves with fellow Portugal international Vitinha. So where does that leave Spain's newest hero, Fabian Ruiz?

No one really saw Fabian having the Euros that he did because he has been so underwhelming for PSG since joining from Napoli. But if he's in the right environment and the right setup, then he is a joy to watch. Madrid should take note.

4. Pepe

Oh, don't tell me you hadn't thought about it too.

41-year-old Pepe. Out of contract. Not done just yet. Still plenty in the tank, as this Euros showed. And Madrid, of all clubs, could do with depth at centre-back.

Come on, Florentino Perez. Pick up the phone and make that call.
