Liverpool's 2024/25 Premier League title triumph has been as impressive as it was unexpected.

Few predicted the Reds to so swiftly recover from the devastating departure of talisman Jurgen Klopp on the touchline, especially with an Eredivisie coach of limited experience taking his place. But Arne Slot and his players have proved the epitome of consistency when those around them have faltered this term.

Right from the off, Liverpool knew this season could be special, and so it's come to pass. The campaign has been littered with remarkable moments - both collective and individual - and none can argue against the Reds being deserving champions.

Here are the best moments of Liverpool's second Premier League title-winning campaign.

Old Trafford delight

Belief in Slot started to grow at Old Trafford in just the Dutchman's third Premier League outing. Having guided the Reds to composed victories over Ipswich Town and Brentford to start the term, the 46-year-old's first major test came against bitter rivals Manchester United.

Liverpool aced the assignment against an admittedly abject opponent, with Luis Diaz's quick-fire brace followed up by perennial United torturer Mohamed Salah adding a third after the break. The Reds were dominant in a comfortable victory despite having less possession than their hosts and it was another indicator of the stylistic change between Klopp's high-energy approach and Slot's measured game plan.

Liverpool had won 11 of their opening 12 matches of the Slot era in all competitions when they arrived at the Emirates Stadium in late October. Arsenal had been Premier League runners-up across the past two campaigns and appeared set to construct another impressive title bid.

The Gunners played with a sense of superiority against Liverpool but the Reds refused to be beaten in north London. Arsenal twice had their lead cancelled out by Slot's scrappers, Salah popping up with a crucial equaliser in the final ten minutes.

It was a result that kept Liverpool four points ahead of their hosts - a buffer the Reds would only increase throughout the season.

Defeating the champions (twice)

It's hard to believe that Manchester City were top of the pile when Liverpool visited Arsenal in October given their subsequent collapse. The defending champions nosedived following Rodri's season-ending injury and proved no match for the Reds on two separate occasions as the crown was stolen from their head.

Liverpool were utterly dominant in the first 2-0 win of the campaign back in early December and the scoreline flattered their flustered visitors. The Reds scored in either half but could have added more gloss to their triumph, finishing up with 3.57 expected goals in a chastening defeat for Pep Guardiola's men.

The second 2-0 victory for Liverpool, this time coming in late February, was similarly straightforward. Two first-half goals downed the Cityzens as Liverpool's watertight rearguard proved defiant thereafter in a rare Etihad victory.

Nine-goal thriller at Tottenham

Liverpool may have moved away from the breathless approach orchestrated by Klopp but the 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur just before Christmas felt like Slot's tribute to his predecessor. A chaotic and open affair saw nine goals shared and while the Reds never looked likely to surrender their cushions of various sizes in north London, they were made to sweat a tad in the closing stages.

Diaz and Salah both grabbed doubles as Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister also etched their names on to the scoresheet, while Liverpool's sleepy defence offered Spurs a little encouragement at the other end. It was more chaos than control for the Reds during a throwback win.

Last-gasp Darwin Nunez drama

The much-maligned Darwin Nunez has proven little more than a peripheral figure under Slot but the Uruguayan conjured some vintage drama when Liverpool needed him most back in mid-January.

An underwhelming start to the new year had some concerned about a post-Christmas malaise for the Reds but Nunez's stoppage-time brace in a 2-0 victory at Brentford got Liverpool back up and running.

Two goals in two minutes guided the Reds to a much-needed victory after successive Premier League draws, with Nunez able to play his part in the journey to glory.

Mohamed Salah milestone

Liverpool's season has been defined by the unrelenting genius of Salah. The Egyptian has produced a career-best campaign to guide the Reds to top spot, managing a frankly ludicrous number of goal contributions as both finisher and provider.

The Premier League's undeniable player of the season hit a new milestone en route to another English top-flight title as he netted a brace from the penalty spot against Southampton in early March. Two penalties lifted him third in Liverpool's list of all-time goalscorers, with only Roger Hunt and the unassailable Ian Rush above him in the rankings.

The 2024/25 campaign has further cemented Salah's status as one of Liverpool's greatest.

Contract relief

Given Salah's insatiable displays this season, it's little surprise that Liverpool supporters were so desperate for him to extend his stay at Anfield. Both the Egyptian and captain Virgil van Dijk were set to be free agents this summer and there were growing concerns that the Reds would not be able to agree on new terms with the integral duo.

But fears were allayed as both put pen to paper within the space of a week to keep them on Merseyside for another two seasons at least. They have proven their immense worth time and again this term.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's farewell strike

Liverpool's contract discussions have been less fruitful with Trent Alexander-Arnold, who appears destined to join Real Madrid for free this summer. The Scouser will be sorely missed should he depart for the Spanish capital but he was at least able to provide the perfect farewell present to travelling supporters at King Power Stadium in April.

The right-back had just recovered from injury before being thrust into the action from the bench against Leicester City, and he provided the winning goal only five minutes later as Liverpool moved within three points of the title.

Wild celebrations ensued as he ripped off his shirt and basked in the adoration of Liverpool supporters one last time.

With just a point needed from the home game with Tottenham Hotspur, there was a huge sense of anticipation on Merseyside. A warm sunshine blazed down on supporters as they gathered in their thousands, hoping to celebrate the potential coronation of Arne Slot's side.

Liverpool's players didn't disappoint.

Dominic Solanke's early goal soured the party-like atmosphere for all of four minutes before the Reds came roaring back. Diaz, Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo all scored before the half-time interval, setting the stage for Salah to score a superb goal on the counter.

Destiny Udogie's own goal added a fifth for Liverpool, clinching the title in the most fitting way possible.
