Euro 2024 produced countless moments of drama, controversy and pure entertainment over the summer.

Video assistant referees stepped in when it wasn't necessary, fans chased players around the pitch in pursuit of selfies and continental giants suffered shock exits in the early parts of the knockout stage.

However, the tournament will likely be remembered for one thing; its ridiculous catalogue of spellbinding goals. While an inflated number of own goals were scored over the duration of the tournament, it was intricate play or bullets from distance that captured the imagination of football fans around the region.

Here's 90min's top ten goals of Euro 2024.

10. Nicolo Barella vs Albania

Italy's defence of their European Championship spluttered and ended at the last-16 stage, but things looked much more optimistic when they overturned an early deficit against Albania.

Nedim Bajrami's first-minute strike was cancelled out by Alessandro Bastoni but Nicolo Barella lashed in a beauty to put temporary smiles on Azzurri faces.

9. Xherdan Shaqiri vs Scotland

Here's hoping football fans haven't seen the last of Xherdan Shaqiri at a major tournament, because he always produces some sort of rocket.

Scotland were on the receiving end of another of his gorgeous highlight reel moments. The former Liverpool winger took advantage of an errant pass and quickly guided it into the top corner.

8. Mert Muldur vs Georgia

Turkey's clash with Georgia was one of Euro 2024's best games with two barnstormers being netted. The first came courtesy of Mert Muldur.

The ball dropped to the Fenerbahce defender on the edge of the box and he had no issues putting his foot through it, nearly bursting the back of the net with such ferocity.

7. Fabian Ruiz vs Croatia

Spain showed they weren't at Euro 2024 to mess around in their group opener with Croatia, breezing to a 3-0 win over the 2018 World Cup runners-up.

After Alvaro Morata had given La Roja the lead, Pedri found Fabian Ruiz who tip-toed around some weak challenges before finding the bottom corner.

6. Morten Hjulmand vs England

Denmark's group stage clash with England isn't worth revisiting - unless the alternative viewing is watching wet paint dry - but it did at least provide a scorcher of a goal from Morten Hjulmand.

The Sporting CP midfielder was given room to have a crack from distance and nailed his effort perfectly, watching it cannon in off the post to leave goalkeeper Jordan Pickford with no chance.

5. Nico Williams vs Georgia

Spain can score all sorts of goals, with any player capable of stepping up, but Nico Williams showed why there has been so much fuss over him this summer with a breathtaking finish against Georgia.

The Athletic Club winger capitalised on the minnows' stretched defence, easily beating his opponent before firing high into the roof of the net.

4. Nicolae Stanciu vs Ukraine

Romania performed well enough to finish top of Group E, even though all four sides ended on four points.

They provided some excellent vibes and, while this goal was aided by a horrendous clearance from Ukraine goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, a lot was still required from Nicolae Stanciu to punish the shot-stopper.

He connected sweetly to send Romania on their way to a 3-0 victory.

3. Arda Guler vs Georgia

Having not had too much game time in his first season at Real Madrid, Arda Guler probably felt he had a point to prove at Euro 2024.

Turkey validated their long-held dark horses tag with a respectable run to the quarter-finals, but their best moment certainly came in the opening 3-1 win over Georgia when Guler whipped one in from range.

He won't be getting ignored at the Bernabeu for too much longer if he keeps scoring goals like that.

2. Jude Bellingham vs Slovakia

Who else?

Jude Bellingham emerged as a clutch hero during his first season in Madrid and his second goal at Euro 2024 saved England's tournament.

The midfielder launched into the air to connect with Marc Guehi's flick from a throw in, drawing the Three Lions level in astonishing fashion before they completed the job in extra-time.

1. Lamine Yamal vs France

There can be no denying the best goal of the tournament came from arguably the best player at Euro 2024.

Lamine Yamal plays with a maturity that belies his 17 years of age but he still has the audacity to go for the outrageous, as shown with his equaliser against France in the semi-finals.

Maybe Adrien Rabiot shouldn't have wound him up pre-game, eh?
