Man Utd's striker options in summer transfer window - ranked
- Man Utd seek a new striker ahead of 2024/25 campaign
- Old Trafford side set to bring in new talent in hopes of revamping the team
- Joshua Zirkzee, Ivan Toney and Viktor Gyokeres among their options
Manchester United continue their hunt for a new striker this summer as they look to bring back exciting, attacking football to Old Trafford.
With the striker market looking sparse as of late, United may have to dig a little deeper if they are to secure real talent this summer. Their hunt for a number nine almost came to a halt last year as Rasmus Hojlund arrived on the scene, but with the Dane being the only recognised striker currently on the books at the club, there's a need for some more reinforcements.
But who can United realistically sign? And who would make the biggest difference at Old Trafford?
Here are Man Utd's summer striker options - ranked.
5. Jonathan David
f United are looking to sign a player who offers competition to Hojlund but doesn't necessarily take his place in the starting lineup, then Jonathan David could be their man.
The Canadian made 47 appearances last season for Lille, registering an impressive 26 goals. With just one year remaining on his current deal in France, he could be a shrewd signing.

4. Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Recent reports have named Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a surprising target for the Red Devils - with the Everton star turning down a contract extension.
Fitness issues have regularly plagued the striker, but Calvert-Lewin managed to make 38 appearances for his club last season. He found the back of the net eight times, with seven of those goals coming in the Premier League.
If United were to pursue Calvert-Lewin, he would become the second Everton player to pique their interest this summer, with defender Jarrad Branthwaite also wanted by the Old Trafford club.
Fit? 6/10
3. Ivan Toney
Ivan Toney seems to be on everyone's radar this summer.
He's not been given lots of opportunity to shine on the international stage in Germany at Euro 2024, but the appearances Toney has made have been impactful and game-changing.
He's a player that could work at United, offering skill from free-kicks and an ability to drop deep and effectively link play.
Fit? 7/10
2. Viktor Gyokeres
Viktor Gyokeres is one of the most coveted forwards in Europe for a very good reason.
The Swedish star is deadly in front of goal, scoring 43 times in 50 appearances last season. His rise has been meteoric, leaving Championship side Coventry City just last summer after being spotted by Sporting CP.
The Portugal side are set to make some serious money if they are to sell their main man, signing the player for €21m last year but demanding €100m to release him now.
Fit? 7/10
1. Joshua Zirkzee
Man Utd look to be the leading contenders to sign Netherlands star Joshua Zirkzee this summer.
AC Milan were once charging ahead in the Zirkzee race, but have since stepped aside, allowing United to reportedly agree personal terms with the player.
His €40m release clause makes him an affordable target, and an exciting one too, after netting 12 goals in 34 appearances last season.
Zirkzee could be the perfect summer signing for the Red Devils.
