The Premier League may well be the most chaotic and unpredictable division in the world, but not every gameweek looks as fascinating as the upcoming weekend of action.

Gameweek 24 is well worthy of the hype. If the potential title race implications aren't enough to facilitate intrigue, then perhaps a fierce West Midlands Derby or Graham Potter's Chelsea return will tickle your fancy.

The action kicks off at The City Ground on Saturday afternoon and concludes on Monday night at Stamford Bridge. Thrills and spills are inevitable in between.

Here's how 90min projects Premier League Gameweek 24 to play out.

After succumbing to a stunning Bournemouth blitz in the second half of their 5-0 defeat last weekend, Nottingham Forest face another south coast opponent in Saturday's early kick-off but in the familiar environment of The City Ground.

Brighton make the trip north having tasted defeat for the first time since November last Saturday. Everton edged past the Seagulls thanks to an Iliman Ndiaye penalty, meaning both teams are aiming to bounce back this weekend.

The Toffees have won back-to-back Premier League games and may well be on the up with David Moyes back at the helm. Very rarely do Evertonians enter matches with an expectation of victory, but they may well have a sense of optimism as Leicester visit Goodison Park. The Foxes ended their slump at Tottenham last Sunday.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool has the potential to be one of the games of the season, yet it cruelly falls under the 3pm blackout. The Cherries have embarked on a staggering run and are the most watchable team in the division despite losing their two leading strikers in the depth chart. Andoni Iraola's counter-revolutionary outfit could move into the top four with a win, but they are taking on the best team in the Premier League.

Liverpool are well-rested headed into this seismic clash. Arne Slot will know that three points at the Vitality would see his team take another big stride towards the title.

Two newly promoted teams collide at Portman Road as Ipswich welcome Southampton, while Newcastle, who were thumped by Bournemouth on their previous home outing, welcome Fulham to St. James' Park. The Cottagers have won just once in the league since claiming a historic Boxing Day win at Chelsea.

Saturday's action concludes in the West Midlands as Wolves and Aston Villa continue their bitter feud. Villa must be buoyant after their recent Champions League success, but Wolves are desperate and in need of points to steer clear of the drop zone.

Sunday 2 February

Bournemouth's clash with the league leaders could have major implications on the mood which prevails over the Emirates ahead of the standout fixture of the round. Arsenal vs Manchester City may not be the title showdown many would've projected after these two teams played out a drama-laden 2-2 draw in September, but the contest is doubtlessly significant.

The Gunners are aiming to either match Liverpool's result or seize a huge opportunity when they face the improving but still vulnerable champions. This one's bound to have an edge.

Before our attentions turn to the Emirates, Ange Postecoglou is hoping he won't become the first Tottenham manager since Ossie Ardiles to oversee five-straight league defeats. Spurs are 15th ahead of their trip to Brentford but at least had a night of wholesome fun against Elfsborg on Thursday.

Manchester United were also successful in the Europa League ahead of their Sunday outing, with a 2-0 win over FCSB meaning they joined Tottenham in the round of 16. Ruben Amorim's Red Devils take on a resurgent Crystal Palace team this weekend, although they were beaten at home by Brentford last Sunday.

Don't fear, folks, the narratives this weekend don't conclude at the Emirates Stadium. There's a Graham Potter Stamford Bridge reunion to enjoy on Monday Night Football.

Chelsea were title contenders at Christmas but are now merely fighting to claim a top-four spot. Their demise continued at the Etihad last weekend despite taking an early lead, with the zip from Enzo Maresca's side fading in recent weeks.

Can they replicate their result from two Mondays ago against a Potter-led West Ham? The Hammers are an improved unit with the former Chelsea boss at the helm, but the new manager is still fitting square pegs into round holes systematically.

Maresca needs this one.
