Premier League predictions: Gameweek 30
- Premier League returns with midweek slate after March international break
- Games spread out over three days with Chelsea vs Spurs concluding Gameweek 30 on Thursday
- Chances for European hopefuls to claim victories

While Europe's premier domestic leagues were back in full swing at the weekend, English football supporters have been asked to wait a little while longer for the Premier League's return.
Four FA Cup quarter-finals proved to be ample cover, mind, although Manchester City are once again threatening to crush a couple of underdog stories.
So, after what's felt like a lengthy hiatus, the top flight is back with a jam-packed midweek slate. Gameweek 30 is spread over three nights of action, and here are 90min's predictions for all ten fixtures.
Tuesday 1 April
The Emirates Stadium is set to be in a fervent mood on Tuesday evening, with Arsenal superstar Bukayo Saka poised to make his first appearance since Christmas. Mikel Arteta has suggested the winger could be included in his starting XI for Fulham's visit, with the Gunners aiming for their first win over the Cottagers in more than two years.
Arsenal enter the gameweek 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool. Fulham, meanwhile, succumbed in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Wolves are once again Matheus Cunha-less as they welcome West Ham to Molineux. These two sides sit just above the drop zone, although the Hammers are eight points better off in 16th. Wolves took a big step towards safety before the break by winning at Southampton.
The night concludes at the City Ground, where Nottingham Forest, fresh from their dramatic progression into the FA Cup semi-finals, take on Manchester United. Forest are sitting comfortably in third and look poised to qualify for Europe's premier club competition, while United are languishing down in 13th.
However, Ruben Amorim's side enjoyed a productive week before the break and have a chance of securing back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time this season.
Kick-off time (BST) | Fixture | Prediction |
---|---|---|
19:45 | Arsenal vs Fulham | 2-1 |
19:45 | Wolves vs West Ham | 0-1 |
20:00 | Nottingham Forest vs Man Utd | 1-1 |
Wednesday 2 April
There are six games to get stuck into on Wednesday, with the headline act staged at Anfield as Liverpool meet Everton in what's bound to be a feisty Merseyside derby.
Their recent tussle, the last derby at Goodison Park, ended with a last-gasp James Tarkowski equaliser which sparked some post-match mayhem.
It's been a turbulent period for Arne Slot's Reds, and the Dutch coach will be keen to get the league leaders back on track by toppling their in-form neighbours.
Before that, Man City, buoyed by their FA Cup victory at Bournemouth on Sunday, face a woefully out-of-sorts Leicester team at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola's side currently occupy what's expected to be the final Champions League position in fifth, but they've got several teams on their tail.
Sixth-place Newcastle, who take to the field for the first time since their Carabao Cup triumph, welcome the Premier League's form road team in Brentford, while a pair of European hopefuls, Brighton and Aston Villa, face off at the Amex.
Bournemouth are without a win in four Premier League games and have slumped to tenth, but they've got a good chance of returning to winning ways in midweek as Ipswich Town visit the Vitality.
The Cherries were unable to join Crystal Palace in the last four of the FA Cup at the weekend, with the Eagles thumping Fulham at Craven Cottage. They should enjoy themselves at Southampton on Wednesday, off the back of three-straight league wins.
Kick-off time (BST) | Fixture | Prediction |
---|---|---|
19:45 | Bournemouth vs Ipswich | 1-1 |
19:45 | Brighton vs Aston Villa | 2-2 |
19:45 | Man City vs Leicester | 4-0 |
19:45 | Newcastle vs Brentford | 2-2 |
19:45 | Southampton vs Crystal Palace | 1-3 |
20:00 | Liverpool vs Everton | 2-0 |
Thursday 3 April
Tottenham Hotspur's sole focus down the stretch is the Europa League, but an already unpopular manager won't do himself any favours if he rotates heavily for Thursday's clash with London rivals Chelsea.
Spurs have endured a nightmare Premier League campaign and could be 16th by the time they kick off on Thursday.
While Chelsea struggled their way to the March international break, they've enjoyed plenty of success against the Lilywhites at Stamford Bridge. We've seen far superior Spurs teams succumb in west London before.
The Blues are fourth and just a point above City in fifth. Third-place Forest are five points better off.
Kick-off time (BST) | Fixture | Prediction |
---|---|---|
20:00 | Chelsea vs Tottenham | 2-1 |
