The 7 best players of Premier League Gameweek 32 - ranked

Gameweek 32 of the 2023/24 Premier League season is in the books and was another pulsating weekend of action.

Heavyweight rivals Manchester United and Liverpool went toe to toe at Old Trafford, with the shares spoiled in a four-goal thriller, while there were goals galore for title chasers Manchester City and Arsenal.

At the other end of the table, Everton and Luton picked up huge wins in their battle to avoid the drop, and their were positive results for Newcastle United and West Ham United against Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.

7. Carlton Morris

With a trip to Manchester City looming, relegation-threatened Luton Town knew they needed a positive result against Bournemouth at Kenilworth Road.

Things weren't looking good with 20 minutes to go as the visitors led through Marcus Tavernier, but Jordan Clark's equaliser provided the platform for Carlton Morris to bag a dramatic last minute winner - his ninth goal of the Premier League season - and seal a huge three points.

Morris was overcome with emotion at the final whistle but will be fully focused on what's to come in the closing weeks of the season.

6. Ollie Watkins

Aston Villa's hopes of a top-four finish took a hit at home to Brentford, but there was no stopping the Ollie Watkins goal train in the Midlands.

After missing the 4-1 midweek mauling at Manchester City, the former Bees striker returned to the starting lineup to bag his 17th and 18th Premier League goals of the season.

Only Erling Haaland (19) has more, with England's Euro 2024 hopeful a serious contender to win this season's Golden Boot.

5. Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United failed to register a shot in the first half of their 2-2 draw against Liverpool - the latest turgid display from Erik ten Hag's beleaguered Red Devils.

But the momentum shifted dramatically in the second half at Old Trafford, fuelled by Bruno Fernandes' stunning long-range effort that punished Jarell Quansah's dreadfully sloppy pass.

The Portuguese's moment of quality allowed United to gain the upper hand, and was key to their fierce rivals dropping valuable points in their bid to win a second Premier League crown.

4. Luis Diaz

Mohamed Salah may have been the Liverpool player to rescue a late point for Jurgen Klopp, but it was teammate Luis Diaz who was the standout player of the game.

The Colombian was a livewire throughout, with his performance capped by a smart first half finish that saw him turn home Darwin Nunez's flicked header from close range.

3. Kai Havertz

Many questioned why Arsenal decided to spend north of £60m on Kai Havertz, but those who doubted will unquestionably have taken notice of another superb performance against Brighton.

The German's movement for his ninth Premier League strike of the season was superb, outthinking Jan Paul van Hecke before slotting home from close range, and his weight of pass for Leandro Trossard's breakaway third was inch perfect.

2. Micky van de Ven

The Premier League has seen some extremely gifted athletes in its over 30-year existence, yet Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven may be the most impressive of them all.

His astonishing recovery pace was on show throughout the 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest, while he also demonstrated he has a cannon of a shot when rifling Spurs ahead midway through the second half.

1. Kevin De Bruyne

If you haven't seen Kevin De Bruyne's opening goal against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, seriously go and watch it.

The Belgian brilliantly bent the ball over Dean Henderson from an acute angle to cancel out Jean-Philippe Mateta's third-minute goal before sliding in Jack Grealish to set up Erling Haaland to score from close range.

De Bruyne then sealed the deal with a fizzing first-time effort with his left foot, which flew past the outstretched glove of Henderson in the blink of an eye.
