What has just happened?
Arsenal sent a major statement to Liverpool and Manchester City with an utterly ruthless dismantling of Chelsea, putting five unanswered goals past a pathetic excuse for a Blues outfit.
It all started inside the first five minutes when Leandro Trossard fired straight through Djordje Petrovic's legs to put Arsenal ahead.
Trossard too clinical man

I turned on the game and Trossard scored already pic.twitter.com/CcvR33pzXt

We laugh at Onana but have you guys met Chelsea’s goalkeeper Petrovic? Look how easy it was to beat him nearpost. #ARSCHE

Nicolas Jackson was more than a little fortunate to avoid a red card for a nasty challenge on Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Chelsea striker caught him square on the ankle but the VAR declined to dish out any punishment, much to the surprise of fans watching on.
Jackson is a lucky boy lol that's a blatant red card

That should be a red card for Nicolas Jackson. That’s an awful challenge on Takehiro Tomiyasu.

What are we doing here?
Petrovic did his best to redeem himself with three huge saves in four minutes, including a sensational point-blank stop from Trossard.
That save from Petrovic was unreal. Trossard really should have a brace.

It's Arsenal against Petrovic FC.

The second goal felt inevitable and Ben White duly delivered shortly after the restart.
Chelsea decided not to defend a corner and the full-back could hardly believe his luck when the ball fell to him inside the six-yard box.
You can tell Ben White is not used to scoring 😅 what even is that celebration?! Reminds me of when Hector Bellerin didn’t know what to do when he scored against Liverpool!

ben white goal on our heads.. liquidate please @chelsea

Ben white is the best rb in the league

To rub salt in the Chelsea wounds, Kai Havertz added a third soon after - the same Kai Havertz whose departure was celebrated by the vast majority of Blues fans.
I don’t even care if we lose but nothing is as painful as watching Havertz score and celebrate against us man
— 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐊 (@TheMahleek) April 23, 2024
I hate this club.
On my life I don't mind losing 6-0.
— Tosin (@TosinM_) April 23, 2024
But Havertz scoring is criminal.
Jesus
Havertz scoring and celebrating against his former team Chelsea😂 pic.twitter.com/k1OjdO16Uf

And then Havertz scored again.
Havertz masterclass!!! Omo I love this team. We are scoring 6 tonight
— Redhotblazing (@Blessingyeye) April 23, 2024
You have ruined this great club. No quality and no FIGHT @todd_boehly
— Uchiha Ballack (@Luke9944036587) April 23, 2024
lol I stopped watching at 3-0, I guess we are holding 7 today but according to data we should be top 4 tho @todd_boehly
— Abimbola (@BimboBimbo007) April 23, 2024
Boehly and Eghbali need to fire Laurence Stewart, Paul Winstanley, and Poch tonight.

While the sight of White celebrating one goal was strange enough, nobody could believe it when the Arsenal right-back got another.
White wasn't even trying to score this time, with what was surely a misguided cross towards Havertz ultimately settling in the back of Petrovic's net.
Omg I just witnessed the most sublime goal from a defender...Ben White. 🔥
— Ubach (@kinguztyn) April 23, 2024
Southgate needs to apologise to White and the British national. Get him on the plane.
— Omid 👨🏻💻 (@OL_Vision) April 23, 2024
It was a real humiliation for Chelsea, whereas for Arsenal, it was one of the best results for a long, long time.
I think this is the final straw. I’m done with this team until I see Poch out

End of the game and a perfect performance from Arsenal that shows that the fight for the title is getting more and more exciting

Anyone who thinks Mikel Arteta isn’t the real deal doesn’t know what they’re talking about. In any other era Arsenal would be heading for a 2nd league title. But the 115’ers have changed what’s required to win a title.
