Chelsea have done 'a Chelsea'.
The Blues have parted ways with manager Mauricio Pochettino after only 11 months in charge, with crucial disagreements in his end-of-season review ultimately leading to a parting of ways. Nothing is ever simple at Stamford Bridge, is it?
Predictably, social media went a little crazy with the news.
Proppa chelsea to sack Poch now he’s got them ticking. Hilarious club.

Poch will leave Chelsea with a Hotel & Training complex as compensation 😂😂

Pochettino: “you’re letting me go?!?”

Todd Boehly: “Poch, some fans love winning, we don’t know, we don’t wanna know. Frankly it’s a fanbase we could do without”
“So that’s it, after one season, so long and good luck?”
“I don’t recall saying good luck” pic.twitter.com/9793xWt9lH
After just a few months of the 2023/24 season, this conclusion seemed inevitable as Chelsea continued to struggle on the pitch and Pochettino found himself at odds with a large number of fans because of his Tottenham roots.
However, 2024 saw a major upturn in form for Chelsea, who clawed their way back into sixth in the Premier League standings and will be playing Europa League football next year unless Manchester United pull of a miracle win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
Not gonna lie I’m not sure why Chelsea let Pochettino leave. He’d started showing signs of getting those kids cooking.

I honestly think Pochettino deserved another season but this is Chelsea they don’t accept mediocrity 🤦♂️🤦♂️😤

The identity of the next manager was the subject of real debate.
Chelsea are on the hunt for the fourth permanent manager of the Boehly-Clearlake era and the possibilities seem endless, such is the unpredictable chaos of this current iteration of Chelsea.
they're gonna hire an 18 year-old Brazilian

The Squad loved Mauricio Pochettino. Do you know how important it is for a young squad to adore the Manager?
— cbfw (@jeryynotom) May 21, 2024
As I’ve said before, I have a lot of admiration for Pochettino, because of how close the squad seemed to be.
This next appointment is CRUCIAL.
If I had a coin for every time Chelsea fired a good manager prematurely to appoint an unproven hyped manager from Brighton then I would have 2 coins, which is not a lot but it is weird that it happened twice.#Chelsea #Pochettino #De_Zerbi

Plenty of frustration was directed towards co-owner Todd Boehly, who has become the figurehead of Chelsea's ownership group despite not actually being solely responsible for everything at Stamford Bridge.
Reports suggest Boehly was not even involved in the meetings with Pochettino, but that did not stop fans from taking aim at the American.
Boehly, you’re an idiot. Get out of my club. The manager you’ve just fired got us to 6th with a team that for most of the season is the worst we’ve seen for years.
— Jeff Young (@JeffYoungDJ) May 21, 2024
Apart from getting bucket loads of cash, I can't see any manager in their right mind who'd want to work with Boehly.

Chelsea management needs to be patient with a coaches. You can't sack your way to the top.
— Mudination (@Oluwamudi) May 21, 2024
Ultimately, whether fans wanted Pochettino to stay or not, the general feeling on social media was bad.
The desperate search for some form of stability continues.
No coach is going to commit long-term if he isn’t being heard by the clowns running the club. This situation might become more common at Chelsea in the future.

Poch leaving Chelsea is a joke and what I hate about modern football, the immediacy of success rather than allowing managers to build a sustainable successful future.

100% convinced this management hates seeing Chelsea fans happy😌😌😌
