The life of a Premier League footballer can be a complex one. For Noni Madueke, he's had quite the show-stopping 24 hours.

After arriving in Wolverhampton ahead of Chelsea's away game on Sunday, the winger took to Instagram to voice his discontent at simply being in the city.

The problem was he had meant to post that message on a different, presumably private, account.

So all eyes were on Madueke when the game kicked off at 2pm. From his first touch, Madueke was jeered by disgruntled locals.

But, to paraphrase the great Michael Jordan, Madueke took that personally.

Chelsea opened the scoring inside two minutes through Nicolas Jackson, before they were quickly pegged back by Matheus Cunha. Subsequent first-half goals from Cole Palmer and then Jorgen Strand Larsen saw the sides go into the break on level terms.

And then Madueke took over.

Not one, not two, but three goals. Madueke's first career hat-trick came as Chelsea romped to a 6-2 win.

Remarkably, all three of Madueke's goals were assisted by the same player. And obviously that player was Palmer.

Joao Felix wrapped up the scoring on his second Chelsea debut to give the Blues a lift after a tiring week spent batting away criticism of their transfer plans.

So, at the risk of going over the top...are Chelsea back?

The Enzo Maresca era is truly underway, at least.
