Harry Kane insisted he is 'feeling good' after coming off the bench to score during England's friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday night.

The Three Lions captain was absent for Bayern Munich's last two league games of the season against Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim after suffering a back injury, raising questions over his fitness ahead of this summer's European Championships.

However, the striker silenced any doubts over his availability on Monday after appearing as a substitute in England's 3-0 victory at St James' Park.

He replaced Ollie Watkins shortly after Cole Palmer scored from the penalty spot to put England ahead, and got in on the act himself with the Three Lions' third goal of the evening.

England's first game of Euro 2024 comes against Serbia on June 16 and Kane is determined to return to peak condition by then.

Speaking to Channel 4 after England's win on Monday, Kane said: "I am feeling good. A lot of the end of season was precaution, of course there is a big summer coming up.

"We didn't want to take risks with it. In the end it was a good chance to take a good break after a tough season. It has almost worked in my favour, missing the back end of the season. It gave me a chance to get a bit more rest than I was going to get.

"I'm not one who takes too long to get sharp and it was nice to get a goal there to get that feeling back again."

Gareth Southgate is expected to announce his final Euro 2024 squad in the coming days. England face Iceland in one last friendly on Friday and will then travel to Germany ahead of a huge summer of football.
