Harry Kane has revealed he is watching Son Heung-min 'every week' after his former teammate notched up 400 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur.
Son played his 400th game for Spurs in their 1-1 draw at West Ham United on Tuesday night, only a few days after breaking into the club's top-five on their list of all-time leading scorers.
To celebrate Son's achievements, Tottenham's social media team rounded up a number of his ex-teammates to send him video messages.
The post opened with a message from Kane, who left Spurs for Bayern Munich a matter of days prior to the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
"What’s happening, Sonny? Just wanted to reach out and congratulate you on 400 appearances for Spurs," Kane said. "Incredible achievement, mate. Obviously been lucky enough to spend a lot of those appearances with you, so it's been a privilege! Great guy, a great footballer and keep it going, mate.
"I'm watching you every week - keep smashing it, keep scoring goals and I hope to see you soon."
Kane and Son combined for a record 44 Premier League goals during their time together in north London - no other partnership in the competition's history can boast a more prolific tally.
The England captain's departure opened the door to Son moving centrally this season, where he has thrived in Ange Postecoglou's system.
Kane was also expected to be made club captain after Hugo Lloris was stood down from the role last summer, with the armband instead going to Son.
The 30-year-old will return to London this month when his Bayern side take on Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals, while he is set to be honoured by Spurs when the Bavarians face them in a pre-season friendly in August.
