There's a David vs Goliath feel to the 2024 Champions League final as 14-time champions Real Madrid take on perennial underdogs Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

The two face off under the iconic arch with Dortmund searching for redemption having lost the first all-German final in the same stadium 11 years ago.

Madrid, meanwhile, have made a habit of conquering Europe after securing La Decima in 2014. They've lifted four Champions League trophies since Carlo Ancelotti oversaw that triumph over capital rivals Atletico in Lisbon, with their most recent success arriving against Liverpool in 2022.

While the Spaniards are heavily favoured, BVB defied the odds to overcome Paris Saint-Germain in the last four, and they've previously triumphed when distinctly unfancied in the competition's showpiece event. Ottmar Hitzfield's side prevailed as 3-1 victors over Marcello Lippi's Juventus in the 1997 final.

And despite the lack of English participants, intrigue for UK viewers arrives in the form of two of their stars competing against one another. A reinvigorated Jadon Sancho will be key to Dortmund's success on Saturday, but the Germans must tame their former superstar, Jude Bellingham, to have a chance of pulling off the upset.

Subscriptions have so far been required to watch this season's Champions League unfold, but UK watchers will be able to enjoy the final for free. Here's how.

In previous years, the Champions League final had been streamed live on BT Sport's YouTube channel, but that won't be the case this year following TNT's takeover.

However, TNT's sports coverage is available via discovery+ and you can watch Saturday's final by merely creating a discovery+ account, with a commitment to a subscription package not necessary.

A standard discovery+ monthly pass costs £6.99 and covers all Eurosport-covered events such as the upcoming Olympics, while a £30.99 premium monthly pass also includes all TNT Sports coverage.

The final kicks off on Saturday 1 June at 20:00 (GMT) with discovery+ allowing you to stream the final across a range of devices including smartphones, laptops, and TVs.
