Ibrahima Konate has confirmed he is fit and available for Liverpool's Champions League clash on Tuesday after a positive verdict on his arm injury.

Konate was forced off during the 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend and manager Arne Slot quickly confessed the Frenchman was in a lot of pain ahead of undergoing scans to determine the severity of his injury.

Thankfully, Konate took to social media to confirm his injury was little more than a scare.

"Thanks for all the messages of support," he wrote. "My injury isn't serious thankfully.

"I had a scan today and it confirmed there is no break. I'll be ready for the next game."

Konate has played every minute of Liverpool's Champions League campaign to date, scoring in the 3-1 win over AC Milan before helping keep clean sheets against both Bologna and RB Leipzig to steer the Reds towards the top of the group stage.

Slot is likely to call on the France international once again for the visit of Leverkusen, who have seven points from their three games so far and are looking to overtake Liverpool in the overall standings.
