Ipswich 1-4 Tottenham: Player ratings as Spurs secure impressive victory
- Tottenham picked up another three points against strugglers Ipswich
- Brennan Johnson netted twice before Djed Spence & Dejan Kulusevski struck late
- Tenth win of the season for Spurs
By Tom Gott

The feel-good factor surrounding Tottenham Hotspur continued on Saturday with a 4-1 triumph over Ipswich Town.
An electric start to the game saw Spurs survive a goalmouth scramble and a Liam Delap header which crashed back off the bar all inside the first seven minutes, but at the other end, Jacob Greaves was needed to clear off the line to deny what looked like a certain goal for Brennan Johnson.
There would be no denying Johnson 18 minutes in, however. A routine tap-in on the line followed a glorious long ball from Archie Gray and a smart cut-back from Son Heung-min to put Spurs ahead.
Johnson bagged his ninth of the season soon after in similar fashion. Stood alone in the middle of the box, he collected another pass from Son after the South Korean burned beyond Ben Godfrey for the second time in quick succession and steered home into the back of the net.
Despite their defensive woes, Ipswich impressed going forward and deservedly pulled one back with ten minutes left in the half, with a lovely Omari Hutchinson strike reigniting Portman Road before the interval.
Substitute Luke Woolfenden saw a goal correctly ruled out for offside on the hour mark as Ipswich pushed for an equaliser, but it was Spurs who killed the game off with 13 minutes remaining. Djed Spence's strike inside the box deflected off Woolfenden and left Ipswich stopper Alex Palmer with no chance.
There was still time for a fourth for Spurs as Dejan Kulusevski finished off a counter with a delightful curled effort to seal a second consecutive victory.
