Former Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has ruled out the possibility of managing a club under Red Bull's umbrella, but left the door open to taking over another team in the future.

Klopp ended his trophy-laden tenure as Liverpool manager last summer, announcing his surprise decision to step down as a result of fatigue. The outspoken German caused even more controversy when he was announced as the head of global soccer for Red Bull's vast footballing network, which includes Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, Austrian giants RB Salzburg and Leeds United.

Red Bull revealed the arrival of Klopp in October but he only officially took over on the first day of 2025. At his introductory press conference, which covered a wide range of topics, the former Liverpool boss quashed any whispers that he may insert himself into the dugout of an RB outfit.

"I will not be a coach of a Red Bull team. That's a clear commitment," Klopp declared. "But I can't say I will never be a coach again in my life."

Klopp has been extensively linked with taking over the German national team, but revealed that he needed a break from the slog of day-to-day management.

"When you are in the job for 25 years, it's super intense," Klopp outlined. "The only thing is that I am a very curious person and I couldn't feed that anymore.

"It was just game after game after game after game. You keep a specific level and I wasn't extremely happy with that to be honest. I always want to try to learn new stuff and I felt when I heard about the role that's what I would do.

"I no longer have to improve the game in individual places, but I want to make football better all over the world. No longer prepare a new game every week, but work on the bigger picture."
