Juventus are wasting no time in strengthening their squad during the summer transfer window, with Everton midfielder Hanna Bennison the latest to arrive in Turin.

The Italian club have confirmed the arrival of Bennison on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee. A move to Italy was first rumoured last month.

Everton broke their transfer record to land a teenage Bennison in 2021, paying a sum expected to be in excess of £150,000. There is no doubt the WSL club will be sad to bid farewell after 81 appearances in white and blue, and scored eight goals across all competitions.

The move is set to be a positive one for the 21-year-old, who will be given the chance to partake in a different style of play in Serie A Femminile.

Speaking about why she left Merseyside, she said: "I wanted something different from what I have experienced in Everton, and I feel like the playing style, especially ay Juventus but also in Italy, is a bit different: More possession and wanting to have the ball and that's what I like about the game."

Juventus dominated Italian football for five straight seasons from their debut in 2017 until 2022. But Roma have bested them in each of the last two campaigns, taking back-to-back titles in 2022/23 and 2023/24, making the upcoming 2024/25 a tantalising battle already.

Juventus will be hoping that their new signings - including Alessia Captelletti and Valentina Bergamaschi, as well Giulia Bison who arrived in January, will help propel them back to the top.
