Report: Juventus reject Man Utd & Chelsea offers for Kenan Yildiz
- Man Utd and Chelsea are among the clubs to have seen offers for Kenan Yildiz rebuffed
- Young Turkiye international has dazzled at Juventus over the past year
- 19-year-old signed a contract extension with the Italian giants in August
Manchester United and Chelsea were among the clubs that saw offers for Juventus starlet Kenan Yildiz rejected last summer, a report has claimed.
The 19-year-old impressed during his breakout season with Juventus, scoring four times in 32 appearances for the club in 2023/24. He then proceeded to have an encouraging Euro 2024 as Turkiye reached the quarter-final.
Naturally, there was significant interest from Europe's giants over the summer given the winger's age, quality and potential, with Man Utd and Chelsea both seeing offers rebuffed by Juventus according to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport.
Despite evident interest in recruiting a new winger over the summer, Man Utd didn't bolster their wide forward department. Chelsea did, however, signing Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho, the latter joining on loan from the Red Devils.
Borussia Dortmund, Fenerbahce and Aston Villa were also reported suitors for the talented teenager, but Juventus were determined to keep Yildiz at the club, rejecting any offers that came their way.
In the end, the Italian giants were able to tie Yildiz down to a new deal in August, keeping him at the club until 2029. He was given the No.10 shirt previously worn by the likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio and Michel Platini.
Yildiz has done an excellent job under new manager Thiago Motta this season as he blossoms into an exceptional forward, scoring four goals and providing three assists across Serie A and the Champions League.
A recent report from Germany has claimed that Man Utd still hold interest in Yildiz, with new manager Ruben Amorim expected to strengthen his attacking options in 2025.
